On September 5 -6, 2023 Humanis Foundation alongside our partners in Timor-Leste held a two days LinkingAndLearning Workshop to help the members get to know one another and learn more about how to effectively advocate for citizens’ rights.
Ending the two days event, the Coalition of Civil Society and Governance in Timor-Leste (CSG-TL) presented our Joint Statement to President José Ramos-Horta on Thursday, September 7—-calling for an inclusive development in Timor-Leste.
The coalition represents marginalized groups in Timor Leste who face systematic barriers, denying them the opportunities to prosper and contribute to the well-being of society. The Joint Statement is a collective advocacy effort from civil societies to improve the status quo in the nation. Continuing the advocacy process, the coalition will arrange a meeting with the parliament of Timor-Leste on September 8 2023.
